Exelent service.... Thanks everyone...*
I was fortunate. Even though I began care somewhere else and went through a period of uncertainty and pain that went on too long, I have a firefighter husband who was able to tap into his organization of 400+ adrenaline-junkie (and therefore injury-prone) firefighter colleagues to inquire which shoulder surgeon they’d given the most positive praise: Dr. Edelson.
I’m so thankful for my experience with Dr. Edelson that I also want to share, so you have access to this information, too.
Dr. Edelson found not only the source of a current injury, but an underlying aggravating problem that went 5 years undetected from an auto accident. He showed up patient and respectful with every question I had. Answered every one even if they were repeats (his staff, too!) because memory isn’t the sharpest between appointments when one is struggling.
Central for my life dreams; he didn’t bat an eye when I shared I’d been preparing for a 5 week bike trip from Banff, Canada to Wyoming when I became injured and that I had tickets to visit my son overseas immediately after the planned bike ride. He just worked as hard as I did toward my goals and after the surgery provided guidance on a recovery physical therapy plan that helped me attain them. I had the best summer of my life (thank you Dr. Edelson and staff for helping me get everywhere I wanted to go!). And now I wish other patients all the best as you work toward your own post-surgery goals!
The staff is knowledgeable and professional. They listen to your concerns and curate testing, care and treatment. They don't sugar coat your prognosis and explain escalating steps/treatment to alleviate your injury. *
Dr Beals and his assistants did an excellent job replacing my right knee. The procedure went far better than I expected after having prior input from friends who had their knees replaced. I’m not dreading having my left knee replaced now. It has been a totally professional experience having my right knee replaced!*
Dr. Edelson was very thorough in his examination. He discussed clearly with me what my injury was and the options for treatment. He was very professional in his approach and answered my questions with very clear answers. I would not hesitate in the least to recommend him to others.*
Greenleaf was the first doctor to detect, diagnose, and treat the joint problem that caused my kneecaps to dislocate. I underwent two major surgeries on my tibia to strengthen the tendons and realign my legs. He truly changed my life and I cannot express how grateful I am for his skill and care. His team is also full of dedicated people that further contributed to my comfort during recoveries.*
This was a first appointment but felt that he really cared about my issue. Will be seeing the Doctor again.*
Dr. Beals did a great job on my right knee. He will be replacing my left knee soon.*
Dr Schroeder diagnosed my problem on the spot and relieved the pain in my foot*
Dr. Greenleaf is clearly an experienced provider. I highly recommend him!*
Professional from beginning to end.*
Great at giving me all of the information I needed to make the best decision for my issue. *
Dr. Edelson is a knowledgeable, competent, professional with a bedside manner that is caring yet directly honest. He has been my husband's and my orthopedic doctor for many years and we trust him explicitly. We feel very fortunate to be able to have him in our corner.*
The experiences I have had at Sports Medicine Oregon's Dr. Greenleaf have always been extraordinary. That is why Dr. Greenleaf and his staff have been and will be my choice for any orthopedic surgeries I will be having.

I wish I could give an in depth history regarding my visits with Dr Jon Greenleaf and PA. Sheri Cameron.
The timeline would start in 2008 with a completely detached right hamstring. Through the skill and care of Dr Jon Greenleaf and Sheri Cameron I was able to regain my hiking abilities. It wasn’t just reattaching my hamstring. As a team, they supervised and encouraged me through months of physical therapy. I came back from that injury to hike many a trail around the country and overseas.
Throughout the years, I have visited for other various injuries: Fingers, ankles, wrists, shoulders and knees…My husband and my mother were successfully treated for knee and shoulder injuries, too. When my mother passed away, I was touched to receive a note from their practice.
In 2020 I switched Medical Insurance because it was more cost effective. In 2021 I injured my knee and unfortunately realized Sports Medicine Oregon aka, (Sheri Cameron and Jon Greenleaf) were not included as a providers. The other ortho practices “in network” were not helpful.
January 2022, I switched back to my prior medical insurance just for Sports Medicine Oregon.
After two years of frustration, I had surgery in March of 2022. I was hiking 3 weeks after surgery.
SPORTS MEDICINE OREGON:
They actually care about their patients and the outcomes.
On my recent appointment with Dr. Murphy, he gave me hope and encouragement that I really needed. My knee replacement surgery was July 20th, and I had to have a manipulation on September 21st. My recovery has been slow and painful at times. Have been going to therapy for over 3 months now with at least 6 more weeks to go. I was very discouraged and Dr. Murphy gave me the boost that I needed.
Thank You Dr. Murphy
Dr Hamilton was very professional and did my procedure with great care*
I met with the Physicians Assistant to go my Pre-Op. She was very thorough and explained both the procedure and the expected recovery.*
